Hi All
In 1996, 25 years ago, I trekked in Nepal with Tim McCartney-Snape - first Aussie to summit Everest back in 1984. In 2011 I headed back to Nepal to do a 250km trail run over 4 days.
I've just turned 50 and after a battle with bowel cancer I have the opportunity to again team up with Tim and my beautiful partner Danielle closer to home and climb the beautiful Mt Kosciuszko whilst raising funds for the Nepalese ground-staff who supported me on both trips.
We already hit our original target of $1000 so, I thought we should aim a little higher!

World Expeditions Foundation (WEF) is an Australian based not-for-profit entity whose main aim is to raise donations for education based projects in underprivileged communities across the globe.
It’s philosophy reflects a focus on education as paramount in improving the standard of living in poor and indigenous communities, believing it empowers young people with a valuable asset for the future and in turn helps to assist developing countries to reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development.
All funds raised directly through World Expeditions Foundation GoFundraise account from 20 April 2021 will be directed towards our Grants 4 Ground Staff campaign to assist our colleagues in Peru & Nepal who have been left without an income because of the devastating impact that COVID19 has had on the travel and tourism industry.
